We're looking for a Principal GTM Solutions Architect to join our early-stage cybersecurity team to help find product-market fit for a cutting edge cybersecurity startup. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of technical solution and business development—ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves building from scratch, and knows how to connect technology to real enterprise problems.
You'll lead pre-sales engagements, drive early customer acquisition, and shape proof-of-concepts that integrate deeply into customer environments. Your work will directly influence our product direction and go-to-market strategy. Responsibilities
- Drive early customer acquisition with a sales hunter mindset
- Lead pre-sales conversations and design technical solutions for enterprise customers.
- Own proof-of-concepts from scoping to delivery, integrating into customer environments
- Collaborate with product and engineering to shape a roadmap through customer feedback
- Help define GTM strategy and build playbooks for future growth.
Required skills & qualifications
- Technical expertise
- Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Pre-Sales role in cybersecurity or enterprise SaaS
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, including common security stacks, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and integrations.
- Proven ability to design, draft contract and deliver technical POCs and customer demos
- Sales & Business Development Acumen
- Experience working directly with customers through the full sales cycle from discovery to close
- Demonstrated success in early customer acquisition or hunting net-new logos
- Ability to map customer problems to technical solutions and articulate value in business terms
- Startup & GTM Agility
- Thrives in early-stage environments with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and rapid iteration
- Ability to wear multiple hats across sales, product, and customer success
- Experience influencing product development with customer feedback
- Communication & Leadership
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with technical and executive stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with customers and internal teams alike.
- Comfortable representing the company externally as a founding team member or early hire.
Preferred qualifications
- BS or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Founding GTM/solution architect technical role is a strong plus
- Bay area based preferred
